OBAN lifeboat volunteers had a busy day on Thursday May 18 with two callouts and a shorebased emergency.
The day began for the volunteer crew at 9.26am when they were called to help a fishing vessel with engine failure close to the isle of Fladda in the Sound of Luing. Stornoway Coastguard asked vessels in the area to standby until the lifeboat arrived.
The fishing boat, with two people on board, was located by 10.03am with another fishing vessel standing by. Oban lifeboat set up a tow and took the stricken vessel to Craobh Haven.
