MY GRANNY, Dorothy Gillies, was a loyal reader of The Oban Times. She bought the paper every Thursday for as long as I can remember. And she would read it from front to back. It gave her all the local news and, most importantly, something to discuss with family and friends. I remember being stuck in Tesco, for what felt like hours, because she was discussing the latest issue of The Oban Times with, what felt like, every single person in the shop.
