Can you remember something you started 17 years ago? A little project? Personal challenge? New hobby? No? Janet Wilkinson can. In August 2002 she read an article by journalist Ashley Norris who swam in all the London lidos in just one day and then decided to do similar, but her swims would reach all the lidos in the UK. “At the time I was a regular at Parliament Hill Lido in North London and this seemed like a quest,” she says. “Let’s go find the others. That weekend, with a map and lots of sticky dots, the quest began.”
