his is the only distribution on test running the Xfce desktop environment by default. Designed to run well on less powerful hardware, this makes MX Linux a natural choice for anyone who wants to squeeze a few more years of life out of an ageing machine. If you don’t get on with Xfce, it’s also available with KDE and Fluxbox, but there’s no harm in giving it a go: you can install alternatives later, including Mate, Gnome Base and Budgie, from the Package Installer.
