IF YOU’RE A Canon Speedlite user, then you can control the flashgun via the camera menu rather than having to poke around on the back of the Speedlite. This is particularly useful if your camera has a touchscreen, as with a few gentle taps you can adjust the Speedlite’s flash power and other key settings of the flash exposure. There’s always a risk of nudging the camera when using the dials and buttons on the Speedlite, which can be bad news if you’ve lined up a shot precisely with the aid of a tripod.
