Despite its insistence, we can’t help nodding – the Life Is Strange studio has been killing it with its output lately. And fans of its previous time-twisty narrative adventure are being well-served here as Lost Records feels like a spiritual successor in all but name – there’s indie rock, decorated notebooks, and beer-sipping teen rebellion. Until something goes wrong, that is. In the summer of ’95, Swann, Nora, Autumn, and Kat discover a glowing purple enigma deep in the forest before going their separate ways. 27 years later they reunite to finally confront what they saw. A little bit Stand By Me, a little bit It, then, but as this studio is King (at narrative games), we’re sure this is no Loser’s Club.
