Welcome to the Tow Car Awards 2017. This is our 11th year of the programme, and we’ve now tested close to five hundred cars. In 2017, forty four models have faced up to our exacting regime, put through the mill by experts from Practical Caravan, What Car? and The Camping and Caravanning Club. From hatchbacks to 4x4s, family crossovers to powerful estate cars, there’s something for everyone in this year’s line-up. As ever, we’ve separated the cars into five main categories, divided by weight, so that you can quickly find a choice of new models that will be suitable for towing your caravan. There are further awards for cars that don’t quite win their weight class, but that we judge to be outstanding in other ways. And finally, we then reveal the overall winner of this year’s awards. So read on to discover who tops the tow car class of 2017.
