A lack of ambition or imagination is definitely not something that Gandalf’s Fist could be accused of, as attested to by the vast convoluted sweep of their collected five-disc The Clockwork Fable/ The Clockwork Prologue behemoth. So it shouldn’t come as any surprise to learn that they started as they meant to continue.
The (Re)Master And The Monkey revisits the band’s first release. Very much a homemade, independent demoquality endeavour originally, Gandalf’s Fist spent lockdown reworking and completely re-recording this bizarre tale of a legless frog named Pierre who craves world domination, and his journey through a fantasy land populated by islands floating in the sky, dragons and other mythical beasts, and a pathfinding bat named Maurice.
