MY PROG
Where’s home?
Northampton. I moved to England from Limerick, Ireland, when I was 17.
Earliest prog memory?
In the mid-90s my friend Steve Hughes was the drummer for The Enid for a while. They were recording in Northampton and he took me to the studio. I’d grown up with ABBA and Thin Lizzy, and when I heard the band I thought, “This isn’t in 4/4, what is this?!” It was otherworldly.
First prog album you bought?
Moving
Pictures by Rush. Steve introduced me to it, and it’s still one of my favourite albums.
