There’s never a shortage of bands attempting to recreate the fusty wonder of progressive rock circa 1971, but few, if any, have done it with such wild-eyed abandon as Ring Van Möbius. The brainchild of Thor Erik Helgesen – formerly known for several adventurous black metal records under the name Throne Of Katarsis – the Norwegians have released two superb studio albums to date, exhibiting rather more than a gift for mimicry along the way.
