Features
14 F3N League
Round one of this year’s F3N League kicked off in
Ickenham, Middlesex at the Flyin’ Fish field. Whilst the
good weather of an event at this time of the year was
absent and very poor conditions expected, the event
did go ahead, much to the appreciation of the pilots
and organisers.
24 Tron 5.5
The exciting Tron 5.5 is the first offering from the new
Tron Helicopter brand. With its light weight, clever
design and distinctive looks, it promises to be a great
performer.
36 Hirobo Dauphin 2
The latest scale heli build by Jon Tanner sees him build
an old favourite from Hirobo in the form of a Dauphin
2 complete with an electric conversion. These scale
models are marketed as top-end with everything you
need in one box, without the need for any extras, no
extras beyond the usual.
46 Futaba T16IZ
The T16IZ transmitter takes its styling cues
from Futaba’s top of the range 32MZ, with an
attractive, comfortable and ergonomic design that
we appreciated immediately, with a large fullcolour
touchscreen to make for quick and simply
programming. Ian Peckett was able to get his hands on
one of the first batch of transmitters coming into the UK
courtesy of Ripmax, and offers his thoughts inside.
52 IRCHA Jamboree
Our resident US contributor Tim DiPeri reports on this
year’s IRCHA Jamboree held in Muncie, Indiana.
As usual, the organisers put on a great event for the
largest heli event of the year in the USA.
