No.60163 Tornado overhaul steams ahead
THE overhaul of the A1 Steam Locomotive Trust’s No. 60163 Tornado continues to progress. The boiler was dispatched to DB Meiningen, Germany, in mid-February – after which staff at contractor Locomotive Maintenance Services Ltd (LMS) in Loughborough dismantled the remaining motion, pistons, and crossheads prior to lifting the frames to remove the wheelsets.
