Scottish Islands Explorer  |  January-February 2013
The causeway to and from Eriskay is a road to somewhere - none less than the 'Island of Youth'. It sits well on the cover while inside is Inchmahome, the 'Island of Rest'. A fine series of resting-places are the Shetland Camping Bods given prominence in these pages. The Standing Stones of the Outer Hebrides have remained erect for centuries while Iona' Isolated Quarry has supplied builders and buildings with some remarkable stone.
