FOR more than 12 months since her abrupt exit, the Welsh Rugby Union hierarchy offered nothing more than a deafening silence about Amanda Blanc. Now it has become all too painfully clear that she resigned over what she described as “deep-rooted cultural and behavioural issues” within the Union.
Former WRU chairman Gareth Davies had announced Blanc’s arrival to a roll of drums: “Securing the services of such a high calibre businesswoman in a boardroom which has been a traditional male environment is to be hugely welcomed.’’
