Anxiety is a basic emotion we feel as a response to danger or threat. It is a protection mechanism not only experienced by all humans, but all animals, too, and it is important to remember you are not alone.
Anxiety experiences range from uneasiness to terror and panic. It is caused by a change in your autonomic nervous system, the part of the nervous system responsible for control of the bodily functions not consciously directed, such as breathing, the heartbeat, and digestive processes.
