RICHARD AND JUDY: WE SCREWED UP, WE WEREN'T HAPPY
TV star Richard Madeley has waded into the Bake Off controversy with a frank confession of his own. Speaking after news broke that the BBC’s top cookery show is moving to Channel 4, Richard recalled a time when he and wife Judy also made a similar decision about their career that had enormous repercussions. Referring to his and Judy’s decision to leave as hosts of ITV’s This Morning to launch The Richard And Judy Show on Channel 4, he said, ‘It very nearly didn’t work at both ends of the equation, it’s a good example of the importance of on-screen chemistry. I don’t mean specifically me and Judy, but just in general.’
