We each, from time to time, believe we could do a better job than someone else, be it cooking a meal, driving a car or, in moments of utter madness, running the country! (In my experience this one doesn’t last long, although it has proved to be a recurring piece of silliness from time to time.)
As beginner writers, we might even throw caution to the wind and suggest we could do better than some of the published authors out there.
