Running for a third year, the Caledonian Novel Award is open to entries for the 2018 competition. This year’s judge is literary agent Madeleine Milburn.
The winner will receive £1,000 and there is an additional special prize of a week-long writing course at Moniack Mhor for the best entry from the UK and Ireland.
The competition is for original, unpublished novels by unpublished or self-published, unagented writers. Novels may be in any genre for adults or young adults, and should be at least 50,000 words. Longlisted writers will be asked to submit their completed novels by 6 December.
