Auburn University in the US is accepting pitches for a special issue of the journal Post45 Contemporaries, a forum for writers to talk with one another more directly and informally than in traditional academic publications. Guest editor Dr Emily C Friedman is looking for pieces on the current state of tabletop roleplaying games from ‘as many parts of the tabletop community as possible’. This can be in the form of articles, or actual informal conversations between players, designers, producers, and others involved in the world of tabletop roleplaying games – think Dungeons & Dragons for the classic example.
Proposals should be for pieces around 2,000-3,000 words, though longer and shorter submissions will be considered. Payment is $300 per piece. Submit your proposal to De Emily C Friedman by 1 October 1, by email ecfriedman@auburn.edu. Full guidelines at: https://auburn.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_1Ldzi96aV1KDunQ
