Evesham Festival of Words, 1-3 July, is inviting entries for its 2016 Short Story Competition. The winners in two categories (adults and children) will be presented by Katie Fforde at the Festival.
All entries in this leap year competition should be on the theme ‘an extra day’. The adult category is for short stories up to 2,500 words and has a prize of £100. The children’s category is for stories up to 500 words and has twenty prizes for children aged 8-11 and 12-15.
All entries must be made electronically, and must be original and unpublished. Type stories in 12pt Arial or Times New Roman and send as doc, docx, rtf or pdf files by email. Include all contact details in the submission email, as well as the PayPal transaction number.
