Live Canon is inviting entries for its 2016 International Poetry Competition.
The competition has a £1,000 first prize, with a further prize of £100 for the best poem by a writer living, working or studying in the London borough of Greenwich. 25 shortlisted poems will be published in a prize anthology and performed by the Live Canon Ensemble at an event at Greenwich Theatre on 20 November.
The competition is for original, previously unpublished poems of any length, on any theme. The entry fee is £6 for a single poem, £15 for three poems and £20 for five poems. Enter and pay online through Live Canon’s Submittable system.
