YOUNGSTERS will soon be at the forefront of turning the tide on marine litter and ocean plastics thanks to the Group for Recycling in Argyll and Bute.
The group, which is known for its beach clean-ups, now has three education workers travelling the length and breadth of Argyll and Bute through its Beach and Marine Litter Education project, working with schools and groups.
Andrea McShannon is working throughout Kintyre and Mid-Argyll; her co-workers are Ben Appleby, Cowal and Helensburgh, and Janie Steele for Oban, Lorn and the Isles. Between them they offer workshops in schools and help people get out onto their local shores to clean them up.
