The biggest reason I wanted to make Wonderland in the UK is that my husband, James, is English. I also wanted to work with English writers and producers to get that Londonmeets- Nashville feel. What was fascinating is that what I’ve written here is completely different to what I would have written in Nashville. The experience of getting on trains and Ubers felt like a big adventure that I wanted to take people on. So some of the songs are about that road trip, being here in the UK, seeing new things and the wonder of all that.
