Ubuntu users who have been losing patience with the official app store of the distro will be interested to learn that it looks like Canonical, the company behind the popular Debian-based distribution, is looking to replace the Gnome-based store with the community-made Flutter store.
A user on Reddit (https://bit.ly/lxf295flutter) found that the new store is starting to appear in the preview/edge channel – and you can test it out by running sudo snap remove snap-store && sudo snap install snap-store --channel=preview/ edge in the Terminal. Early impressions have been very positive, with people who have used an early version saying that even in this early stage, it’s less buggy, faster and easier to use than the current store (that’s not hard!–Ed). The new look has also won a lot of people over.
