Learn Achieve Advance

As students all over Scotland reflect on their exam results which were published last week, Argyll College UHI welcomed the news that the college’s school link students outperformed the Scottish average for Higher passes with 81% gaining a D or above, compared to the national figure of 77%, itself the second highest figure on record.

Argyll College UHI works with high school pupils all over Argyll and on the Isle of Arran to bring a taste of further education and a range of additional study options to senior phase school pupils, including new Foundation Apprenticeships which will be available to some High School pupils in Argyll when pupils return to school this month in subjects including Engineering, Health and Social Care, IT Software and Business Skills. This year 100% of the Tobermory High School pupils sitting their Environmental Science Higher succeeded in gaining this qualification, and it was an extremely successful first year for pupils undertaking the Skills for Work Maritime course in Dunoon and Lochgilphead, with all pupils who completed the course gaining a passing grade.
