Fairs held at conference and events venues that involve more than 30 people at any one time will not be possible under government legislation until October 1.
Organisers who had already announced the reopening of indoor fairs in September and who have now postponed these include IACF at Alexandra Palace and Adams Antiques Fairs’ monthly event at the Royal Horticultural Hall, both in London.
The subject of holding indoor fairs is far from clear. As regards conferences and events, the UK government website states: “These will be allowed to open for government-endorsed pilots but should not generally be open to wider business meetings or events until October 1, subject to the prevalence of Covid-19 remaining low.’’
