This 132 page, soft covered book is a celebration of 80 years of London buses, from the formation of London Transport in July 1933 to the present day under the control of Transport for London. Supported by a wealth of colour and black and white photographs, it tells the story of the buses themselves and how they have been organised and operated. How London Transport replaced many of its trams with trolleybuses between 1935 and 1940, then replaced the remaining trams and all the trolleybuses with diesel buses in the postwar years.
