In the January 2020 issue of FlyPast, we go flying with a newly airworthy reproduction of a Great War-era Albatros D.Va. This eye-catching and beautifully painted machine is now resident in the UK and will be flying in British skies for the foreseeable future, before it eventually becomes a museum exhibit in Germany. We tell this extraordinary aircraft’s story and FlyPast photographer Darren Harbar captures exclusive air-to-air images as the rare biplane returns to its natural environment.
