Having ended 2020 on a high by securing his seventh world title (plus a knighthood), Sir Lewis Hamilton could be forgiven for having his head in the clouds right now. But while maintaining his turbocharged form in the wake of his coronavirus battle might seem like an uphill struggle, he is in the right place to prep for the challenge. After taking a break from social media, the Formula 1 driver (right) uploaded a clip from his “killer” winter training schedule (left) as he gears up for the coming season. “I’m in the mountains training everyday getting my mind and body right,” he wrote.
While saying that working out at altitudes of more than 11,000ft was “much harder”, Sir Lewis, 36, assured his Instagram followers he was “doing good” following his Covid-19 diagnosis at the end of last year. “I’m healthy and mentally strong right now,” he said. Lewis aims to be back in pole position at the Bahrain Grand Prix in March, in the hopes of racing off with a record-breaking eighth championship.
