TONY SMITH has insisted he is making progress in his task of "changing the culture" at Hull FC despite a poor start to the season.
Hull finished tenth in Smith's first year in charge and his second has begun with four defeats from their opening five Super League games.
A recent 54-4 thumping at the hands of Leigh, followed by their 50-6 reverse at Huddersfield on Saturday in the Challenge Cup, has brought fresh scrutiny on the club, who next face rivals Hull KR at Craven Park on Good Friday.
