I WAS interested to read the details in last week’s League Express of the new Championship and League One arrangements.
There is much to commend in the plans, in my view. In particular, they maintain the vital elements of jeopardy and incentive which, as a pair, make up an absolutely essential element of the sporting environment in the UK.
I have to say that I was astounded when I read that Martyn Sadler, in his Talking RL column, took exactly the opposite view. I hope he will give us the benefit of giving his reasons in a future edition.
