A ‘write’ Highland hoolie is heading for Mallaig next month.
The town’s book festival will be making itself at home under one roof at the West Highland Hotel from November 9 to November 11.Organisers of what will be the third festival say it will be more exciting than ever, with a line-up of fabulous authors joining them for the a weekend of literary celebration.There will also be good food and live music.
The festival launches with a Friday drinks reception for opening event ticket holders, hosted by whisky expert Marc Ellington who will be revealing all about illicit distilling and whisky smuggling. Saturday’s guests include broadcaster Sally Magnusson, writer of the Sealwoman’s gift. Bookbug will also be there and there will be a feature writing workshop to list just a few of the offerings.
