Lighten the load on your book shelves by taking a handful of good reads to Bookends Festival.
Organisers of the twoweek celebration of the written word, which kicks off in Benderloch at 3pm on Saturday (September 22), are waiting with open arms for readers and their donations. The Reading Room at the village’s Victory Hall has been dressed up for the third annual Bookends bonanza.
On Saturday, storyteller Alasdair Satchel from Dervaig is off ering free sessions for younger children and stories for all at 3.30pm and 4.15pm. Booking is advised.
