CLOSE on 400 mourners crowded into the Round Church at Bowmore last Saturday morning to bid their final farewell to 16-year-old Ciara Caskie Allan who died in the local hospital on September 12 after gallantly fighting the effects of a brain tumour for 13 years.
Included among the mourners was a large representation from the local high school where Ciara had been a pupil.
Conducting the service was the Reverend Valerie Watson who, in a fulsome tribute, referred to Ciara as ‘making the most of every day’, as well as having a great zest for living and a capacity for joy.
