A Dunbeg man who was caught driving while three times over the limit has been disqualified for 16 months and ordered to carry out 120 hours of unpaid work.
Lachlan McInnes, 42, of 15 Lochnell Road, Dunbeg, admitted driving while having 69 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, when the legal limit is 22mg in 100ml on June 29 this year and he was sentenced on August 13.
Solicitor Edward Thornton said his client was moving the car because it had been in the same place for two weeks and he was worried the battery might be low. Sheriff Patrick Hughes imposed 120 hours of unpaid work, a 12-month supervision requirement, disqualification for 16 months and fined him £100.
