What a fortnight! Busy-busy-busy! And, yes, all my lovely, warm-hearted charities have been in touch, posting the sweetest, most supportive messages saying, honestly, Sarah, it’s high time you gave yourself a great big pat on the back and awarded yourself a well-earned holiday after all those years of hard slog on our behalf.
And those messages of love, written from the heart, keep pouring in. “We appreciate all you have done for us”.“We would like to thank you for your kindness and support in the past”.
But, as my dearest darling mother-in-law, bestest friend and all-round Wise Owl the sadly late Queen Elizabeth II said to me during one of our daily snuggles, “You know what, Sarah? There’s an old saying: ‘When one charity closes, another charity opens.’”
Wise words of wisdom. So, to honour Her Late Majesty, today I’m proud to announce the Sarah, Duchess of York Down In the Dumps Foundation plc, DIDUMS for short, or Didums@Palace, with 98 percent of all contributions going to Those Who Need It Most.
