ISLAND LINE FLEET COMPLETE: The fifth and final Class 484 was unloaded on the Island Line at Sandown on February 16, (pictured), and two-car No. 484005 will now be subject to testing before entering service. The same lorry that brought the ‘484’ was then used to take its predecessor Class 483 No. 483008 off the island and into its new life in preservation with the London Transport Traction Group at the Llanelli & Mynydd Mawr Railway in Carmarthenshire, where it arrived on February 18 to join classmate No. 483006.
