THE National Railway Museum’s first-built Class 37 No. D6700 (37119/37350) is heading back into traffic following the signing of a loan agreement with the Heavy Tractor Group (HTG) at the Great Central Railway.
The Type 3 was donated to the museum by English, Welsh & Scottish Railway in July 2001 following its withdrawal from service. It has seen some active use in preservation since then, both at the museum and elsewhere, and was last used at the Mid-Hants Railway in October 2017.
