■With the further powering up of the iPad Air via Apple’s M2 chip, this is now essentially an iPad Pro just without a few extras such as Face ID support. But it also shares a lot with the 10th-gen base-level iPad, including Touch ID. Once again Apple’s tablet range makes sense, with a classic ‘good, better, best’ arrangement.
■Much has been made of the Pro’s skinniness, but this Air isn’t far behind at 6.1mm. Both 11in and 13in versions are heavier, but not by a great deal: the 13in model weighs a mere 38g more than its Pro equivalent.
