Huawei Watch Ultimate
Huawei’s latest smartwatch doesn’t know the meaning of the word ‘compromise’. How could it? It’s a watch. But what it does know is how to be one of the most-wanted wearables we’ve ever seen. In a first for any smartwatch, its casing is made from zirconium-based liquid metal, which is 4.5x tougher than titanium alloy and is more often found on high-end analogue timekeepers. And that’s not all: its 1.5in 466x466 AMOLED is the biggest circular screen on any smartwatch. Its Expedition mode uses five-constellation dual-band GPS positioning, but 100m waterproofing means it’s just as happy under the waves, with advanced dive tracking and a bespoke face that shows your current depth, decompression limit and ascent rate. Over 100 sports and activities are supported, with real-time guidance and automatic pace adjustment plus 24hr heart-rate and ECG monitoring, arterial stiffness analysis and SpO2 tracking. The 530mAh battery should last for two weeks of typical use, eight days of heavy use, or less if you don’t know the meaning of ‘compromise’ either
