Pandemic pups and the cost of COVID

Many people have bought a dog to be a companion during lockdown.

UK dog lovers, who buy ‘pandemic puppies’ from low-welfare breeders, could be facing ‘colossal’ vets’ bills, according to the latest research.

Leading pet-care brand Bob Martin warns that the demand for pet ownership over lockdown could end up costing the UK economy an estimated £400 million a year.
