Pratt & Whitney has announced the opening of a 4,459sq m expansion of its Singapore-based engine centre, Eagle Services Asia (ESA), which will grow its capacity to service P&W GTF engines by two-thirds. ESA is a joint venture between Pratt & Whitney and SIA Engineering Company (SIAEC) and has completed more than 500 GTF engine overhauls since 2019.
The opening coincided with the 2024 Singapore Airshow, with the MRO also using the event to announce that it is ramping up the industrialisation of repairs on GTF engine components across its facilities in Singapore. Shangari Meleschi, vice president of aftermarket operations – Asia Pacific and Turkey, commented: “This expansion demonstrates our commitment to building industrial capacity by continuing to invest in our strategic sites worldwide to support our customers.
