ONE MAN was killed and another seriously injured in two separate road accidents last weekend in Argyll.
John Allan, 51, was driving an Opal GT car at Firkin Point on the A82, just south of Tarbet about 1.20pm on Sunday June 19, when it was involved in a collision with a BMW travelling in the opposite direction.
Mr Allan, from Lanark, was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital but medical staff were unable to save him. His female passenger was treated for minor injuries at the same hospital. A report has been submitted to the procurator fiscal.
