Changing hands

Bannatyne’s Garage in Blackwaterfoot formally changed hands last week and Angus and Christine Cameron, who own the Post Office, became the new owners. Angus is a marine engineer by trade and so he is not entirely unfamiliar with the task ahead of him although he says that he has never sold petrol before. The staff will all be kept on and his plans are to keep it as a garage with all of the usual services. Angus said: ‘Blackwaterfoot still has its garage and it still has its petrol. The only change at the moment is its name which will be Blackwaterfoot garage.’
