Rugby club pull out of BT league

Arran RFC have been forced to pull out of the BT West Division 3 league.

A shortage of players led to the decision ahead of the home game against Strathaven last weekend. The club have no plans to rejoin the league next season but hope to play friendly fixtures and organise a tour as they rebuild for the future.

Their last game was a 29-14 defeat to Bishopton at Ormidale Park last month.
