Lucky escape

A family had a narrow escape at the Claonaig slipway last Saturday morning on their way to Arran.

Geoff Gibson of Glasgow was travelling with his two children to visit his parents in Pirnmill. He arrived in Claonaig and parked on the slipway facing the ferry. He got out of the car to make a phone call and luckily the children joined him as walked towards the telephone box. As he approached the box he looked around and to his astonishment, watched as his car rolled down the slipway and under the water.
