Welcome to our Winter 2020 issue of Autostrada,
Here in Toronto the first snowflakes have begun to fall and the majority of owners have tucked in their vehicles for the long winter months. 2020 has been a challenging year for all of us, but we have been incredibly fortunate to have the support of our long time advertisers and readers during this time.
Our cover feature for this issue is the legendary automotive designer Gordon Murray. Gordon was the brainchild behind the legendary McLaren F1, touted as the best supercar ever built, and with the recent release of his own supercar, the T.50, has returned to the global automotive spotlight.
Thanks to our friends Tim Mackenzie and Alex Lawrence were given unprecedented access to Gordon’s personal collection of vehicles as well as his personal design studio. Where most designers have transitioned to a completely digital format, Gordon has kept with his roots and prefers to work seated in front of his drafting table. We are incredibly grateful to Gordon and his team for allowing us to showcase his passion, history and journey in this issue.
