Q. Tell us about your path into art
I’ve always been really creative, which started as a child making small books full of scribbles, and then this escalated into my job. At school, all of my art teachers were memorable and left impressions on me for some reason or another. One teacher in particular pushed me towards illustration, and even though I didn’t really understand how I could get a job in that industry, I ended up studying BA Illustration in Bournemouth. I started out very uncertain of myself, but then through the course I began discovering all these book illustrators, like Laura Carlin, which motivated me to want to follow a similar path.
