A TEENAGE student is joint first on the leaderboard going in to round three of the Machrihanish 2017 gents club championship.
In the first round, last Saturday, Andrew Wallace, returning from his studies at Stirling University, fired a fabulous two over par 72 to put himself right in the mix birdieing the 10th and the last hole on the way back in.
The next day a further solid 72 from Wallace saw him thrust himself into joint top spot on 144, with veteran Scottish international Alan O’Neill, who also had a good early score, with a three over par 73 which included birdies at the eighth and 17th.
