Classic Car Buyer  |  No.204 Biggest Show Ever

As you’ll see when you turn to page 10 of this issue’s Classic Car Buyer, we’ve pulled out all the production stops this week and burnt a sump full of midnight oil to bring you a four-page report on last weekend’s Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show. To add a slice of personal interest to the feature, we’ve also included a few of our show favourites and explained why we rate these cars in
particular. Looking at the variety of models we’ve chosen as our personal show-stoppers, it’s interesting to see how different our tastes are here at Classic Car Buyer. What’s even more incredible is that there were no overlaps in our choices either, which just goes to show what a
diverse selection of interesting cars there was on show at the NEC this year. Let us know what you think of our choices and if you don’t agree, why not send us a picture of your show favourite?
The Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show is a great event and judging by my aching feet, it seems to get bigger and bigger every year. With over 250 car clubs in attendance, it would be safe to say that there was a vehicle for just about everybody at this well attended event, regarded as the
‘Grande Finale’ to the show season. Judging by the number of people who attended this year’s Show, our fascinating hobby is showing no signs of slowing down – in fact, interest in classic vehicles appears to be growing year-on-year, despite all the financial doom and gloom that blights the daily news. One of my main missions over the three days was to get around as many club stands as possible and gather details and photographs for our Club Updates. From my conversations, it would appear that the club scene is in a healthy state and for those clubs I managed to make contact with, thank you for taking time to talk to me – and sorry to those I missed out as I simply ran out of time getting round you all.
Classic Car Buyer is Britain’s leading weekly newspaper for classic car enthusiasts. In addition, you’ll also find in-depth features covering all aspects of owning a classic car – buying, maintaining, driving and – crucially - enjoying. There are comprehensive buying guides, informative road tests, a nostalgic pull-out spread depicting a scene from the halcyon days of motoring, staff car sagas, guest columnists, market reviews, a detailed club directory and a regularly updated price guide. The publication is also packed with hundreds of cars and parts for sale in its Free Ads section, making it THE place to buy or sell your classic. There is a dedicated classifieds spread on classic commercial vehicles and machinery. Classic Car Buyer provides the best insight into bread and butter classics – every week! Top magazine, love reading it!
A good read Reviewed Tuesday, July 16, 2013
I like looking at the cars for sale, want to get something this year for up to £2,000. The news coverage is also interesting, just not sure if I want to get a years subscription so tend to buy single issues, but that is working out more expensive!
Great Magazine, even better digital Reviewed Wednesday, June 19, 2013 SUBSCRIBER
Living on the continent it makes no sense to subscribe to a weekly magazine when it's printed. With this digital version I have instant access to the comprehensive information on markets, current offers of classic cars and very informative and useful articles. I think it's the best brand-independent weekly magazine.
